Did You Know?
INFUSION THERAPY is the administration of medication through a needle or catheter. It’s prescribed when a patient can’t be treated effectively with oral medications.
When chemotherapy is delivered through infusion, medication is delivered into the bloodstream through a needle, port, or catheter. Highly trained infusion therapy nurses administer the actual treatments and provide ongoing care and assessment.
This can be done by OHC at one of our locations (on-site treatment suites) or in your home. Treatment sessions last between one and several hours, and are generally scheduled at one- to three-week intervals.
Whether you and your care team choose infusion therapy at one of our neighborhood locations or in your home, you’ll receive the best care possible at your convenience.
