Welcome to Your First Day
of Treatment at OHC.

Please know that everyone at OHC, from our physicians to our volunteers, will do everything they can to provide you with a safe, comfortable, caring environment. We’ll be with you every step of the way.

Here’s what you can expect before your first treatment.

  • We will first pre-authorize the treatment with your insurance company. This approval is necessary to make sure that your treatment is covered. We work tirelessly to get these approvals as quickly as possible, however certain insurance plans do require additional time. If yours is one of these plans, or if your insurance changes, we may have to adjust the starting date of your treatment slightly to allow your insurance company time to approve the treatment.
  • When you arrive, a nurse will spend time reviewing the side effects of the medications you will receive. You'll then be asked to sign a consent form. Feel free to sign our consent form before your visit by visiting our Patient Forms page. Download the forms you need, fill them out, and bring them with you to your first appointment.
  • After your first treatment, you will be scheduled to see an Advanced Practice Provider for a treatment planning visit. During this visit, we will review your diagnosis, treatment plan, goals of treatment, side effect management, and identify possible opportunities for referral to other resources. We encourage you to bring your family with you for each of these visits.
