Even our stairwell is inspiring.

Early on Nov. 4, OHC’s 16th and newest location — OHC West — opened and began receiving its West-side patients. And first reports indicate that they are as delighted we are.

Located in Suite 100 and 200 of the Medical Office Building on the new Mercy Hospital West campus — just two blocks from the Route 74/52 and North Bend Road junction in Monfort Heights — our prototype office is aesthetically very different than any of our other 15 neighborhood locations.

From the thoughtful, inspiring images and quotes on our walls to the fresh open space and well-considered amenities, you’re in for an experience like no other. For cancer patients in particular, that’s incredibly important. Our patients have enough to deal with as it is; they certainly don’t want to be encumbered or depressed by the space they’re treated in.

As reported in previous updates, OHC West is a modern, high-tech facility from where all the treatment needs of our Mt. Airy, Rapid Run, and Western Hills patients are now met. No more long drives downtown or to Fairfield for radiation therapy treatments.

OHC West is staffed by eight elite medical, radiation, and gynecologic oncologists: Brad Collett, MD; Marc Mosbacher, MD; Suzanne Partridge, MD; Dené Wrenn, MD; Kurt Leuenberger, MD; Lauren Castellini, MD; Mary Elizabeth Albers, MD; and Mary Ellen McCullough, MD. Their teams include Advanced Practice Providers, Nurse Navigators, Radiation Therapists, and many other skilled colleagues.

Open Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm, OHC West patients now will have more convenient hours to schedule

appointments and on-site access to all of our Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Gynecologic Oncology services.

They’ll also notice the little extras that should make their treatment more comfortable; like easier access to more door-front parking (currently with free valet parking), new chairs, an ice machine with drink and snack bar, and blanket warmers. And as seen on this article’s cover photo, some of our treatment chairs even have cubbies in which to place your personal items.

Site Director Cathy King and her entire team welcome you with open arms and a warm heart. Our mission is to put you and your care first, beyond anything else we do. We hope and trust that OHC West is a reflection of that effort.
