OHC Appoints Karyn M. Dyehouse, M.D. as Chief Medical Officer

OHC is excited to announce that it has appointed Karyn M. Dyehouse, M.D. as its Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In this role, all OHC medical departments will report to Dr. Dyehouse as she oversees OHC’s quality initiatives, value-based care, and patient experience. This includes ensuring OHC’s compliance as one of only 196 Oncology Care Model practices and 10 Commission on Cancer Oncology Medical Home practices in the country.

“As OHC continues to grow, we decided to separate the CMO responsibilities from my role as president, and Dr. Dyehouse was a natural choice for this position,” said E. Randolph Broun, M.D., president and chairman of the board for OHC. “In addition to being a strong advocate for her patients, Dr. Dyehouse is a natural leader who understands the importance of value-based care and our role as an Oncology Medical Home in today’s changing healthcare landscape.”

As a a medical oncologist, breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, and palliative care are areas of particular interest for Dr. Dyehouse. In addition to practicing at OHC’s Blue Ash and Kenwood locations, she is on staff  at The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health, where she led the hospital’s efforts to obtain National Accreditation for Breast Cancer Centers (NAPBC).

“I’m excited to take on this role at OHC as it will allow me put important initiatives in place to ensure our patients are receiving an excellent care experience at a good value,” said Dr. Dyehouse. “My continued work as a medical oncologist and my new role as CMO will allow me to identify opportunities and successes as OHC builds on its mission of high quality, cost-effective, personalized patient care.”

Dr. Dyehouse is board certified in internal medicine, oncology, and hematology. After graduating from medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, she completed a residency and fellowship at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She has also served as a volunteer with the Peace Corps and in research with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals.
