Mason resident Ajit Gubbi, DO, has been selected to present at the prestigious American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists 86th Annual Conference in New Orleans in March.
The conference is presented annually to provide obstetricians and gynecologists from around the world with educational opportunities focused on medical topics and controversial issues these doctors face today. Dr. Gubbi will teach doctors what to do when faced with a cancerous tumor in a female reproductive organ that was presumed to be non-cancerous.
Dr. Gubbi is a gynecologic oncologist with OHC (Oncology Hematology Care) who treats cancers of the female reproductive organs using the latest treatments including robot-assisted surgery. Dr. Gubbi received his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Vallejo, California, and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, West Islip, New York, and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, New York. Dr. Gubbi completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, Orlando, Florida. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and in gynecologic oncology.
