Thirty-five abstracts authored by members of the Sarah Cannon Blood Cancer Network were presented at the recent American Society of Hematology (ASH) Meeting and Exposition.

OHC expert hematologists Dr. James H. Essell and Dr. Ed Faber were co-authors on three of the abstracts presented and were the only oncology physicians from the tri-state with abstracts presented at this national symposium. OHC is one of Sarah Cannon’s principle investigator research sites.

The meeting is the world’s leading malignant and non-malignant hematology research event. It brought together more than 20,000 hematology professionals to discuss the latest breakthroughs in blood cancer research and treatment.

The 35 abstracts represent studies being conducted by principal investigators from Sarah Cannon research sites affiliated with OHC, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, and Tennessee Oncology. Other Sarah Cannon Blood Cancer Network participating physicians were from Colorado Blood Cancer Institute, OU Medical Center, and Texas Transplant Institute.
