Infusion therapy is receiving medicine through a needle or catheter. It’s prescribed when a patient can’t be treated effectively with oral medications. When chemotherapy is delivered through infusion, medication is delivered into the bloodstream through a needle, port, or catheter. Our highly trained infusion therapy nurses administer the actual treatments and provide ongoing care and assessment.
OHC offers infusion therapy at our offices. Treatment sessions last between one and several hours, and are generally scheduled at one- to three-week intervals. When you and your care team choose infusion therapy at one of our neighborhood locations, you’ll receive the best care possible at your convenience.

If you’re a new patient or would like a second opinion, we’d be happy to schedule an appointment with one of our doctors to discuss treatment options. If you’re a current patient and would like more information, let your OHC doctor know you want to know more about infusion therapy options.
