OHC IS LOOKING FOR YOU.

We are looking for caring and energetic adults willing to volunteer for our “Patients First” Organization.

Requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. If you are a patient, you must be at least 3 months out of active treatment. You must be comfortable talking about cancer and cancer treatment with patients. It is also important that you are comfortable working beside patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with office flow of patients
  • Greet patients upon arrival to the office/treatment suite and help them get settled as needed
  • Provide comfort measures to patients, e.g. pillows, blankets, beverages, and snacks
  • Escort patients throughout the suite and hospital departments (if the OHC office is in a hospital setting), as well as to their cars
  • Help keep waiting, exam, and treatment rooms tidy (e.g. pick up used blankets, distribute magazines, dispose of trash)
  • Help patients get their prescriptions filled (applies to Blue Ash location)
  • Provide support to patients in treatment
  • Answer questions about OHC’s service and cancer related community events
  • Provide input for office improvements and standards of performance
  • Help with special projects
